Kerala budget 2017: Minister quotes M T Vasudevan Nair in budget speech

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a move to attack Sangh Parivar, finance minister T M Thomas Isaac lavishly quoted writer M T Vasudevan Nair in his budget speech. Nair was criticised by Sangh Parivar for terming demonetisation as Tughluq model reform.
The ‘Tughluq’ statement of MT was quoted by Isaac at the beginning of budget speech. Minister criticised demonetisation as a man-made disaster.He said that demonetisation was the major reason for the financial issues of the state.
Minister stated about the social changes at the time of MT' birth to his younger days. The minister also quoted from MT's award-winning novels such as Nalukettu to mention about various schemes.
