Kerala: After 9-day fast, MLAs Shafi Parambil and K S Sabarinadhan shifted to hospital

Congress MLAs Shafi Parambil and K S Sabarinadhan who had been observing a hunger strike in front of the Secretariat in support of the protesting PSC rank holders were shifted to hospital on Monday evening.

Thiruvananthapuram: Congress MLAs Shafi Parambil and K S Sabarinadhan who had been observing a hunger strike in front of the Secretariat in support of the protesting PSC rank holders were shifted to hospital on Monday evening.
They completed nine days’ fast when doctors recommended immediate medical care to them. Their blood sugar level was found too low in medical examination.
Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, former chief minister Oommen Chandy and KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran were among those who visited the MLAs on Monday.

Ramesh alleged that speaker P Sreeramakrishnan did not bother even to inquire about the legislators' health condition.
Youth Congress vice-president Rijil Makkutty and leaders N S Nusoor and Riyas Mukkoli began fast on Monday evening in place of president Shafi and vice-president Sabari.
