Kannada Film Festival to begin on August 26

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala State Chalachithra Academy and Kannada Chalachithra Academy will jointly organise a Kannada Film Festival from August 26. Lenin Rajendran, chairman of Kerala State Film Development Corporation will inaugurate the film festival at Devipriya theatre at 6 pm. Thithi, the Kannada film directed by Raam Reddy will be the opening film.
Bina Paul, vice chairperson, Kerala State Chalachithra Academy will attend the function. SV Rajendra Singh Babu, chairman of Karnataka Chalachithra Academy will be the chief guest. The show will begin from 11 am on August 26.
A three day Malayalam film festival was recently organised in Bengaluru which featured contemporary Malayalam cinema. It was a joint venture of Chalachithra academies of Kerala and Karnataka. The three day Kannada film festival will conclude on August 28.
