K Gopalakrishnan is the new district collector

T’puram: The government on Wednesday rejigged district collectors of six districts. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Malapputram and Kannur got collectors.

K Gopalakrishnan has been appointed as

district collector

of Thiruvananthapuram. P B Abdul Nazar will be the collector for Kollam. Incumbent Alappuzha collector S Suhas will be the new district collector of Ernakulam, while Ernakulam collector Muhammed Y Safarullah has been appointed as the additional commissioner of state GST. Adeela Abdullah will be the district collector of Alappuzha.

Incumbent district collector of Kannur Mir Muhammed Ali has been replaced by public relations department director T V Subhash, while Malappuram collector Amit Meena has been replaced by director of social justice department Jafar Malik.

Mir Muhammed Ali and Amit Meena have been posted as executive director of Suchitwa Mission and director of Anert and lotteries, respectively. A P M Muhammed Hanish has been removed as the chairman of Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL). He has been appointed industries secretary in charge of public sector Units. C A Latha is the new land revenue commissioner.

The cabinet conferred the additional charge of sainik welfare and printing and stationary department on general education secretary A Shajahan and the additional charge of managing director of Kerala state cooperative bank on tourism secretary Rani George. Special secretary (agriculture) Ratan U Khelkar will hold the additional charge of director of agriculture development and farmer welfare department. Land revenue joint commissioner U V Jose will be the CEO of Life Mission. tnn
