JEE state topper bags first rank in engg entrance

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Shafil Maheen is on a roll this month. After securing top ranks in three entrance exams, the Kozhikode boy bagged the top rank in the state engineering entrance examination on Tuesday.
Shafil notched up a record score of 587.1312 in the entrance rank list, followed by Vedant Prakash Shenoy (580.8150) and Abhilash Kar (579.6008).
Already the state topper in JEE (Advanced) exams and 4th rank holder nationally, Shafil has his eyes on becoming a mathematician and has secured admission for BSc at Indian Institute of Science."I started my entrance preparations from Class XI and have been putting in six to seven hours daily and up to 11 hours during weekends," Shafil told TOI on Tuesday.
The pharmacy entrance examination results were also announced on Tuesday with Alif Anshil C P of Malappuram securing the first rank.
