IoT-enabled Smart Bin installed in corp

T'puram: As part of a project to promote responsible plastic waste management, an IoT-enabled Smart Bin was installed in the city corporation. The Smart Bin was formally inaugurated by mayor V V Rajesh, along with chairman and MD of Terumo Penpol Ltd Chethan Mackom, on Monday. The project leverages IoT (Internet of Things) technology to encourage segregation of plastic waste at source, while enabling real-time monitoring and measurable environmental impact. The project, an initiative of HLL Lifecare Ltd, is expected to strengthen sustainable waste management practices in city and promote greater public participation in green conservation. TNN
