Investigate Ganesh Kumar’s role in scam: Bindu Krishna

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader Bindu Krishna has petitioned state police chief

to probe the role of Pathanapuram MLA K B Ganesh Kumar, whose name was raised in connection with the

solar

scam. In her petition, she said that a deliberate attempt was being made to exclude Kumar whose name was raised at the very beginning of solar scam.

She cited that the co-accused in the case, Biju Radhakrishnan, had revealed that Kumar was the ‘owner’ of Team Solar company, and he had a role in all the related incidents that happened subsequently and more details would emerge if a probe was initiated.

She also alleged that there were reports that it was due to Kumar’s influence the letter, apparently written by Saritha Nair in prison, came out. After she was released from prison, the former minister had a role in facilitating her stay in various parts of Kollam. “Kumar’s former wife (Yamini) had exposed his relations with Saritha and all these factors point to the fact that his role needs to be probed,” Bindu said.

She said that Kumar cannot be excluded from the ambit of the probe as he was now aligned with the ruling

She said the police should also probe the allegations against Kottarakara MLA Aisha Potty that she had helped Biju Radhakrishnan, who was an accused in the Reshmi murder case, during the tenure of the previous UDF government. Meanwhile, Behera said that he had received a petition from Kollam district

Congress committee

and the police would look into it.
