INTUC rally to reach state capital today

(STATE)
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian National Trade Union Congress's (INTUC) ongoing state-wide campaign rally against 'anti-labourer policies of the central and state governments' will enter the capital district on Monday, after covering 13 districts. The rally is led by the union's state president R Chandrasekharan.

Senior Congress leader A K Antony will inaugurate the concluding ceremony to be held at

Gandhi Park

on Thursday, which will be attended by

KPCC

president M M Hassan, former KPCC president V M Sudheeran, Shashi Tharoor MP and MLAs K Muraleedharan, V S Sivakumar, M Vincent and K S Sabarinathan and

DCC

president Neyyattinkara Sanal.

The leaders of INTUC and Congress will accord a reception to the rally at the district border at Kadambattukonam at 9am on Monday.

Public meetings will be organized later in the day at Kallambalam, Karettu, Nedumngad and Malayinkeezhu. Congress leader Aryadan Muhammed, INTUC all-India secretary Palode Ravi and other leaders will speak at the public meets.
