International Trade Fair: CM to open Kerala Pavilion
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the Kerala Pavilion at 44th International Trade Fair (ITF), held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Friday. State govt's special representative K V Thomas, Kerala House resident commissioner Puneet Kumar, director of information and public relations department T V Subhash and Kerala House additional resident commissioner Ashwathy Sreenivas will be present on the occasion.The Kerala exhibition space, covering 299sq m, is located in Hall No. 4 of the fair, which runs from Nov 14 to 27. The theme of this year's fair is ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat'. The Kerala Pavilion is organized under the leadership of information and public relations department. The Kerala Pavilion features a total of 27 stalls. The days up to Tuesday are reserved for business activities. Public access will be allowed on the following days, with visiting hours from 10am to 5.30pm. Departments including cultural, Kerala bamboo mission, coir development, handloom and textiles, cooperative, industries and commerce, Norka, fisheries, etc are setting up stalls at the fair.Kudumbashree and the state fisheries department will be arranging food courts showcasing Kerala's diverse cuisines. Various cultural programmes will also be held in conjunction with the fair. The design and construction of the Kerala Pavilion have been undertaken by Kozhikode Global Innovative Technologies (GIT Zest).
