IDSFFK concludes, Nostalgia For The Future and Soz – A Ballad of Maladies share honors for best documentary

THIRUVANATHAPURAM: Nostalgia For The Future, directed by

Avijith Mukul Kishore

and Rohan Shivkumar and Soz – A Ballad of Maladies directed by

Tushar Madahav

and Sarvnik Kaur shared the award for the best long documentary at the 10th International documentary and short film festival which concluded here on Tuesday.

Two documentaries:
'The books we made' by Uma Tanaku and

Anupama Chandra

and 'Of Love and Artistry' by Suruchi Sharma won special mention in long documentary section. The jury did not give any awards in short documentary category.

Ranjan Palit won the Navroze Contractor award for the best documentary cinematographer for his film 'In praise of the Angel face'. 'Days of Autumn / Xorotor Aabelibur', directed by Mukul Haloi won the award for best short fiction. The jury prize short fiction was won by Grandfather/Aaba directed by Amar Kaushik. Rooms directed by Sangeet Unni won the award for the best campus film produced within Kerala. Fish curry directed by Abhishek Varma won the award for best animation film.
