Govt appoints 12th pay revision panel

T'puram: State govt appointed the 12th Pay Revision Commission to study and recommend prompt revision of salary and benefits for state govt employees. Former chief secretary V P Joy is the chairperson of the commission. Finance department additional secretary V R Sobha would function as the commission secretary. Advocate M Rajagopalan Nair and retired additional secretary Sreelatha Sukumaran are the members of the commission. Finance minister K N Balagopal said the commission is mandated to submit its report in three months. The govt had earlier announced its commitment to appointing a new pay revision commission during the state budget. The recommendations of the report would be implemented in a time-bound manner, Balagopal said, adding that a govt order with detailed terms and references of the commission would be notified soon.tnn
