German movie screening at Bharat Bhavan

T'puram: As part of the Friday film screening organised by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy German director Werner Herzog's war film Rescue Dawn (2006) will be screened at Bharat Bhavan, Thycaud, at 6pm.The film narrates the story of Dieter Dengler, a German-American naval aviator shot down during the Vietnam War. Director Herzog depicts the horrors of war through the suffering and survival efforts of war prisoners.The two hours and six minutes long movie shows how Dengler, who is a war prisoner, along with his fellow prisoners plan their escape by battling the hostile environment.
