Gautam Ghosh to head film awards jury

Thiruvananthapuram: Noted filmmaker from Bengal, Gautam Ghosh will head the jury for selecting the Kerala State Film Awards for 2022.A director, screenplay writer and actor, Ghosh is the recipient of as many as 17 national awards, including for best film, best film for national integration and best regional film. Like in the last year, there will be two primary juries which will screen the 154 films that are competing for the awards, by dividing them among themselves. Noted art director Nemom Pushparaj, and director K M Madhusudanan will head these two juries, who will also be the members of the final jury headed by Gautam Ghosh.The other members of the two primary jury are writer V J James, K M Sheeba, art director Roy P Thomas, producer B Rakesh, director Sajaz Rehmasn and editor and director Vinod Sukumaran. In addition to Gautam Ghosh, Nemom Pushparaj and K M Madhusudanan, the final jury also consists of actress Gauthami, cinematographer and director Hari Nair, sound designer D Yuvaraj and playback singer Jensy Gregory. Writer and journalist K C Narayanan will head the jury for the film literature section. Other members of this jury are writers K Rekha and M A Dileep. The screening of the films will begin from June 19.
