to Vettoor when he was allegedly knocked down by a speeding motorcycle from behind. Eyewitnesses told the police that the accident occurred when the motorcycle was overtaking Nazeer’s scooter.Nazeer was traveling on his Hero Maestro scooter. The youths who knocked down Nazeer were riding a Bajaj Pulsar 220 motorcycle. According to eyewitness accounts, the motorcycle rammed into Nazeer’s scooter from behind while trying to avoid colliding with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.Nazeer was initially taken to a private hospital near Varkala and then shifted to another hospital in the city, where he breathed his last.
