According to police, the accident occurred at Kappumukku near Vilabhagam under Varkala police station limits on Wednesday around 4 pm. He died around 4 pm on Thursday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city.
The police said that the accident occurred when Nazeer was returning home from work.

Perumathura

to Vettoor when he was allegedly knocked down by a speeding motorcycle from behind. Eyewitnesses told the police that the accident occurred when the motorcycle was overtaking Nazeer’s scooter.
Nazeer was traveling on his Hero Maestro scooter. The youths who knocked down Nazeer were riding a Bajaj Pulsar 220 motorcycle. According to eyewitness accounts, the motorcycle rammed into Nazeer’s scooter from behind while trying to avoid colliding with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
Nazeer was initially taken to a private hospital near Varkala and then shifted to another hospital in the city, where he breathed his last. He worked with a fishing crew that operated from Perumathura fishing harbour. On Wednesday evening, he was returning home from Perumathura after work.
