THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A two-day session of the CPM state committee will begin here on Tuesday.
The decisions of the central committee meeting which concluded in New Delhi on Sunday will be reported in the meet. The next phase of protests against the anti-people policies of the UPA and the UDF will also be finalized.
The central committee decisions were reported in the CPM state secretariat meeting held on Monday.
Politburo member S Ramachandran Pillai said the decisions include the public censure of opposition leader V S Achuthanandan for taking a stand different from that of the party’s in the Kudankulam issue.
The criticism against VS for leaking his speech in the July central committee was also reported. The state secretariat, which analyzed the recent mass protests by the party in the Kudumbasree and LPG issue, finalized a plan for the next round of protests which will be presented before the state committee.
