CM Chandy meets Krishnaswamy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala ChiefMinister Oommen Chandy on Tuesday held discussions with M Krishnaswamy, PradeshReturning Officer for Congress organisational polls in thestate.Talking to reporters after the meeting, Krishnaswamy, who ishere to review the arrangements for the polls, said the rallies planned by the''I'' group loyal to senior leader K Karunakaran was not taken up at the meetingwith Chandy."We discussed only organisational polls. Other mattersare to be decided by the high command," he said.When approached,Chandy refused to reveal to reporters the details of thetalks.Krishnaswamy had also met Karunakaran, former chief minister AK Antony and KPCC Chief Thennala Balakrishna Pillai onMonday.Krishnaswamy arrived here on Monday in the backdrop of therallies planned by the ''I'' group demanding fair conduct of organisational polls.The group had alleged that KPCC was trying to sabotage the polls.
