THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Cabinet on Monday approved the Annual Financial Statement which would be presented in the Assembly along with budget for the year 2005-06 on February 4.
Addressing a press meet after a special Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said the state had already written to the Centre about the state''s views on tax proposals in the wake of the introduction of VAT from April 1.
To a question, Chandy asserted that on-line lotteries would not be allowed in the state.
Government was examining all possible options to re-introduce Kerala lottery as the livelihood of thousands of people was dependent upon it, he added.
