The patrons are actress Sarada, BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan, Suresh Gopi MP, O Rajagopal MLA, Kanayi Kunhiraman and M M Basheer.
Rajasenan told a news conference that Sanghakalavedi will soon launch a census on the stage performers in the state to identify how many of them are in need of help.
“The category of stage performers include singers, orchestra team members, dancers, Kathakali artists, makeup artists, sound and light technicians, magicians and crew, Mappilappattu singers and other artists involved with folk and ancient art forms. Sangakalavedhi will act as the voice of the voiceless section of artists. It is not a forum owned by any of the political parties and every stage artist can become a member,” said Rajasenan.

“It is for the first time that a forum is constituted exclusively for stage performers in Kerala. The stage performers are still considered as the lower section of artists. Our main agenda is to bring the ‘unknown talents’ before the limelight,” said Nooranad Shajahan.
The dream project of Sanghakalavedhi is an ‘Art village’ that provide training on folk and ancient art forms.
