Balakrishna Pillai’s wife passes away

Thiruvananthapuram: Former minister and Kerala Congress (B) supremo R Balakrishna Pillai’s wife Valsala Kumari passed away at Kottarakkara in Kollam on Wednesday. She was 76.
She reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at her house and breathed her last in a private hospital at Kottarakkara. Besides husband, Pillai, Valsala Kumari leaves behind son MLA K B Ganesh Kumar and daughters Usha and Bindu.Retired IAS officers K Mohandas and T Balakrishnan are sons-in-law and Bindu Menon is daughter-in-law.
Cremation will be held at her residence, Keezhot Veedu at Valakom near Kottarakkara on Thursday. tnn
