A unique exhibition of works by master painters
T’puram: An exhibition titled ‘Masters’ featuring the works by
A total of 37 art works by renowned artists such as K C S Panicker, A C K Raja, Bhupen Khakhar, T K Padmini, K P Krishnakumar, Santhanaraj A P and Reddappa Naidu will be displayed at the Shankumugham Art Museum here.
The exhibition, organized in association with Kerala Lalitha Kala Akademi, will be inaugurated by mayor V K Prasanth at 6.30pm on Wednesday.

K C S Panicker’s garden series (Poothottam – 1959), P K Padmini’s untitled painting, Santhanaraj’s portrait of K C S Panicker, Bhupen Khakhar’s untitled works and K P Krishnakumar’s untitled paintings are the major highlights of the exhibition.
“Usually, it is difficult to get the art works of some of the artists who passed away. But many organizations and art lovers keep these rare images in their private collections and we thought to hunt such works. Luckily from the collections of Kerala Lalitha Kala Akademi we got many unseen works by popular artists. We are very sure that these paintings will hold people’s attention,” added Kumar.
The expo will also feature paintings of A Ramachandran, Alphonso Arul Doss, Anjolie Ela Menon, Arpana Kaur, C Douglus, D L N Reddy, Gulam Muhammed Sheik, Jayaram Patel, K K Hebbar, Laxma Gaud, Madhava Menon, Manu Parekh, N N Rimzon, P Gopinath, Paramjit Singh, Prabhakaran Kolte, R B Bhaskaran, Rajan M Krishnan, S G Vasudev, Sudhir Patwardhan and Surendran Nair. The expo will continue till October 10 and the gallery will be open to public from 10am to 8pm. Monday will be a holiday.
