NAVI MUMBAI: Vashi police have arrested a 25-year old youth, working as a waiter at a restaurant in Vashi for voyeurism, after allegedly hiding a mobile phone in video recording mode near the dustbin in the women's restroom.
The incident occured at Vicious Circle Kitchen and Bar resturant in sector 7, Vashi on Sunday around 6 pm.
PSI Kuldeep Deshmukh said, "The complainant woman aged 45 years is a teacher. She had gone to Vicious Circle Kitchen and Bar with her women friends for a kitty party. After she went to the restroom, she spotted a mobile kept near the dustbin. When she checked the mobile, it was in video recording mode. Hence, she confiscated the mobile and questioned the restaurant manager, when it was learnt that the mobile belonged to a waiter identified as Ajay Singh. Hence, the woman lodged a police complaint. Subsequently, an FIR was registered under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita against the accused Singh, who was detained. On Monday, Singh was produced before the Vashi JMFC court, that has released him on bail."
