While the state govt awaits the Centre’s approval for the ambitious Ring Metro project in chief minister Eknath Shinde’s hometown Thane, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) is about to float tenders for hiring consultants to plan stations in detail. Manoj Badgeri reports

Be a feeder to MMRDA’s Metro 4 (Wadala-Kasarwadavali) and Metro 5 (Thane-Bhiwandi)

Totally poor distribution of public money. Feeder line is more important for them instead of connecting Kalwa, Mumbra and Diva to the mainland Thane and Metro 4/5. Don’t forget these Thane suburbs are also part of the Thane City,
