Thane: Two ‘deaf and mute’ held for cheating people

KALYAN: Mahata Phule police arrested two persons for stealing valuables from homes by pretending to be deaf and mute. Satyaraj Boyar (19) and Babu Boyar (30) would visit housing societies and seek help, showing a

fake

state government letter, distract residents and steal the valuables.


Police have recovered 31 smart phones and other valuables, which they had hidden at two rented homes.

Assistant inspector P P Chaudhari said both are residents of Tamil Nadu.
