Thane: One of 4 Covid-19 patients who returned from Nigeria infected with Omicron

Out of 4 Covid-19 positive patients who had returned from Nigeria to Dombivli on 2nd December, one of them has been confirmed to be infected with Omicron variant.

KALYAN: Out of 4 Covid-19 positive patients who had returned from Nigeria to Dombivli on 2nd December, one of them has been confirmed to be infected with Omicron variant.
The patient who has been undergoing treatment at isolation ward of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) got discharged today afternoon from the hospital after his RTPCR test report came negative.

With this new patient, the total number of Omicron variants number reaches 2 in Kalyan-Dombivli city.
The health official said a 45-year old patient with his wife and 2 children had returned to Dombivli on November 23 and on December 3 they were tested Covid positive.
Both husband-wife had taken second doses of vaccines. They did not have any symptoms. After discharge, patient are advised 7 days home quarantine at home.
The health department even had conducted RTPCR tests of 24 close and 86 distance contacts of patients and had found 4 of them Covid positive.
The 4 patients which are undergoing treatment at isolation ward at Art Gallery in Kalyan is stable and do not have any symptoms.
