THANE: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) on Tuesday said that the
Covid-19 vaccination
will not take place in the city on five different dates due to the
Ganesh festival
.
The 10-day festival begins on 'Ganesh Chaturthi', which falls on September 10 this year.
The civic body said that the vaccination drive will not be conducted in order to avoid any inconvenience to citizens.
The vaccination at all centres will remain suspended on September 10, 11, 14, 16 and 19.
The civic body has urged people to take note of the same and plan their inoculation accordingly.
As on Tuesday,10,89,125 people from the city have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
Meanwhile, the lake city has also witnessed a slight surge in active
Covid-19
cases.
