NEW DELHI: A 40-year-old man was arrested in Ulhasnagar, Thane district, on Sunday for allegedly harassing and assaulting his wife, police reported on Monday.
According to the woman’s complaint, he took inappropriate photos, and shared them on social media with a friend. When she confronted him, he physically assaulted her.
On January 17, the husband’s friend allegedly contacted the woman and made inappropriate demands, police stated.
A case has been filed under sections 77 (voyeurism), 78 (stalking), 115(2), (voluntarily causing hurt), 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and other relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and Information Technology Act, the official said.
