Satiate your taste buds at CKP food fest & cultural event

THANE: The Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhu (CKP) community of Thane has organized a food festival on February 15 and 16 which will also have cultural programmes.
The festival is scheduled at CKP hall, Kharkar Ali and will be inaugurated by actress Kavita Medhekar and actor Kishor Pradhan.
Foodies can satiate their taste buds with Masala Pomfret, Sodyachi Khichadi, Prawn rice, Kheema Pattice, Kanole and many such delicacies.Traditional food items will be displayed by CKP culinary experts.
"Our delicacies are widely appreciated but have not reached the professional level. We will provide a platform to CKP entrepreneurs at this festival", said Sameer Gupte, organizer of the festival.
Sanjay Choudhary, a resident of Ghodbunder Road, said, ''Such festivals should be organised more often. We get to taste a lot of CKP food, which is not readily available. The non-vegetarian food is to die for.''
Cooking competition and fancy dress are added attractions to the festival. Various stalls will also be put up during the event.
Media celebrities like Sudhir Dalvi, Amita Khopkar, Vandana Gupte, Swati Chitnis, Kanchan Gupte and Purva Gokhale will also visit the festival.
