Rahul Gandhi on Sunday through a tweet had hit out at the Modi government over train accident saying, "No accountability even after 270+ deaths! The Modi government cannot run away from taking responsibility for such a painful accident. The Prime Minister should immediately ask the Railway Minister to resign!"

ULHASNAGAR: The Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur during his visit to Ulhasnagar on Sunday hit out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his statement on the train accident saying no one is running away from accountability.
Rahul Gandhi on Sunday through a tweet had hit out at the Modi government over train accident saying, "No accountability even after 270+ deaths! The Modi government cannot run away from taking responsibility for such a painful accident.

The Prime Minister should immediately ask the Railway Minister to resign!"
In response to Rahul's statement, Thakur said, "No one is running away from accountability. We are doing our duty. The Railway Minister also went there, he is fulfilling his responsibility day and night. The Prime Minister also went there. Our education minister or other ministers also went. All our Central ministers went there. We expedited the rescue work there. Even our party workers or the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh members and many other NGOs which are not in politics, also served there. They did not do politics there".
Thakur further said, "And please Rahul ji, you have put yourself in that category, when the Chinese army tried to encroach, then you did not respond to the secret meeting with their officials. How much money was given to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation from China, till date you have not answered it".
He further hit out at Rahul saying, "Who is the organiser of your program in America, this question mark arises again and again, you do not answer it. The national anthem is insulted in front of you, you did not stop them. Slogans are raised against India in the same gathering, yet you don't say anything".
He further said, "So is Rahul ji going abroad only to humiliate India. Is questioning and humiliating India the only thing left? The party and the family to which this country gave the opportunity to rule more than 60 years after independence, it is the misfortune of this country that for them family is everything and country is nothing".

Thakur on Sunday was on a tour of Ulhasnagar city comes under Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency. During this he met various dignitaries of the city including Sindhi movie film actor Sonu Vishnani, businessmen, Saint Mahatma of the city, Gaushala and other prominent people of the city.
After this, while addressing the party workers, Thakur said that the development work done by the central government in 9 years should reach upto every citizens.
Talking to the press, its Thakur enumerated the achievements of the government and while answering the questions, described the politics done by the opponents on the train accident is sad and attacked them over same including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee.
