A senior police officer confirmed that Thackeray, along with MNS Thane district chief Avinash Jadhav and MNS Thane city chief Ravindra More have been booked under section 4 and 25 of the arms act.​

A case has been registered at the Naupada police station of the Thane city police.
THANE: The Thane city police has registered an offence against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray and two others for brandishing a sword during a rally in Thane on Tuesday.
A senior police officer confirmed that Thackeray, along with MNS Thane district chief Avinash Jadhav and MNS Thane city chief Ravindra More have been booked under section 4 and 25 of the arms act.
A case has been registered at the Naupada police station of the Thane city police.

On Tuesday, Thackeray addressed a rally to to respond to politicians who criticised his remarks made during Gudi Padwa rally.
Thackeray also reiterated that if the loudspeakers outside mosques weren't shut he will ensure Hanuman Chalisa will be played on loud speakers.
