MNS candidate Abhijit Panse criticises BJP, signals intensified political battle
THANE: Following the announcement of Abhijit Panse as the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) candidate for the Konkan Graduate Constituency, Panse launched a scathing critique of the BJP, accusing the party of failing to deliver constructive projects for graduates. The MNS's decision to field Panse against the BJP is expected to escalate the political contest in the region. The BJP is preparing to field Niranjan Davkhare, the current Member of Legislative Council (MLC), for the same seat. This move by MNS leader Raj Thackeray is seen as a strategic effort to bolster the party's presence in the region and challenge the BJP's dominance.Panse alleged that no significant projects benefiting graduates have been undertaken in the last 12 years. He criticised the BJP for the constituency's lack of development and announced that, rather than a traditional manifesto, the MNS would present a detailed, job-oriented manifesto tailored to the specific needs of the constituency. When asked about the potential for supporting the BJP in this election, Panse stressed that the MNS follows Raj Thackeray's directives. He noted that any decisions regarding alliances would be made by Thackeray himself. MNS Thane Palghar District President Avinash Jadhav confirmed that there have been no discussions between the MNS and the BJP regarding this election.
