Honest MSRTC staff returns wallet, earns accolades

THANE: An honest MSRTC staff earned accolades from his colleagues and an elderly female passenger after he tracked and returned her wallet which she had unknowingly left behind at the Khopat bus depot, Wednesday. The wallet contained important documents and Rs 20,000 cash.

Dr. Anjali Gangal, 63, who was seated at the Khopat depot, Wednesday morning, waiting for her friend, was checking her wallet when she received a phone call following which she hurriedly left her wallet behind.

Meanwhile, Vikram Jadhav, a MSRTC police staff member spotted the wallet lying unclaimed and after going through its contents, spotted the contact number of the passenger from one of the documents and promptly alerted her, informed a spokesperson.

The passenger who was unaware of her loss till she received calls from Jadhav, later rushed to the depot and collected the wallet after the authorities asceprtained her identity.
