Four kill friend at liquor party in Kalyan, 2 arrested

Titwala police have arrested two persons and searching for two more who shot dead their friend during a party. The deceased has been identified as Rajan Yerkar, also known as Janu. The arrested accused have been identified as Rohit Bhalekar and Sameer Chavan. The police are currently hunting for Parvez Shaikh and Sunil Waghmare.

According to the police, on Monday late night, all five individuals were enjoying an alcohol party in the Maharal area in Titwala, near Kalyan. During the party, Janu and one of his friends began verbally abusing and insulting each other. In response to this, Bhalekar retrieved a country-made revolver from Shaikh, who was carrying it with him, and shot Janu, resulting in his death.

The police have determined that at least three shots were fired, with one hitting Janu in the chest. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Taking serious note of the incident, the Titwala police have formed separate teams and apprehended two of the accused, while the remaining two are still at large. The police have stated that all five individuals work odd jobs and are between the ages of 18 and 23.
