THANE: Coronavirus cases are once again on the rise in the twin cities of
Kalyan and Dombivli in
Maharashtra's Thane district.
However, the most-impacted region is the Kalyan west area, which has been seeing the maximum fresh cases every day for the past couple of weeks.
On Saturday, 42 persons newly tested positive in the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation limits.
Out the new cases, Kalyan west reported 12 infections, followed by 10 each in Dombivli east and west, and eight in Kalyan east.
Both Manda-Titwala and Mohane regions saw one fresh case of Covid-19 each.
Also, one more patient succumbed to the virus within the KDMC limits.
The total number of recoveries in the twin cities stands at 1,38,616, with 62 patients getting discharged on Saturday.
At present, 643 persons are undergoing treatment for Covid-19, the civic body said.
