THANE: The twin cities of
Kalyan and
Dombivli
in Maharashtra's Thane district reported 80 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday.
As per the official data from Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (
KDMC
), one person succumbed to the infection in the past 24 hours.
Out of the total Covid-19 cases, a maximum of 32 was recorded in Dombivli East, followed by 26 in Kalyan West, 15 in Dombivli West and five in Kalyan East.
Two persons tested positive in the Mohane area, while no new cases were reported from the Manda-Titwala zone.
As many as 135 patients have recovered from the virus, with which the total number of recoveries in the KDMC limits have now reached 1,35,149.
At present, there are 907 active cases in the twin cities.
Meanwhile, the KDMC informed that all vaccination centres in Kalyan and Dombivli will remain closed on Sunday.
