Cook dies in LPG cylinder blasts at hotel in Ulhasnagar

ULHASNAGAR: One staff died while another suffered serious burns in fire due to explosion in an LPG cylinder at a hotel in

Ulhasnagar

on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Govind Jadhav (32), a cook at the hotel; Dhiraj Verma (29), who works at the hotel as a waiter suffered 80 per cent burns in the blaze.

The incident took place around 3.30pm at

Sadguru hotel

near C-Block in Ulhasnagar.

The first explosion led to blasts in three other cylinders kept nearby.

Police said Verma was rushed to the Central hospital in Ulhasnagar from where he was shifted to a private Criticare hospital in Thane for further treatment.
