THANE: An 18-year-old boy from Kalwa suffered injuries after he fell off a running train between Kalwa and Thane stations on Thursday morning, the railway police informed.
According to the police, the victim who works as a labour was headed towards Dadar and was travelling footboard of a local train along with his friends when he lost his grip and hit a signal pole, barely 200m from Kalwa station, and fell on the tracks.
The incident was captured by few passengers travelling in a Mail Express train that was passing alongside.
"The victim was shifted to the Kalwa Muncipal hospital by his relatives following which the Thane railway police was informed. We are now investigating the case," informed senior inspector Pandhari Kande at the Thane railway police.
