THANE: The sessions court has rejected the bail application of a co-accused in the kidnap and murder case of businessman Sachin Mohite in July last year.
Assistant sessions judge R S Patil-Mohite turned down the bail plea of Mohammad Rashid Mohammad Safik Qureshi, who was reportedly part of the three-member team involved in the crime.
Mohite, who was the proprietor of a marketing company, was killed as he defaulted on payment of a loan of Rs 39 lakh which he had borrowed from another accused Satyakumar Panigrahi.

Mohite was asked to come near Mira Road station and from there he was driven to Manor where he was beaten up and then then thrown into Surya creek on July 11.
After hearing both sides, the judge said that the accused was involved in the crime so he does not deserve bail.
