“When the police checked with the villagers there, they came to know that Subhadra’s mother was staying in the village and the two had visited her. The couple was staying in a poultry farm there from November 19 to 28. Prima facie it suggests that the duo had left the child as they are daily wage workers and do not earn enough to provide food and shelter to the child,” said Rupali Ambure, deputy commissioner (Central railway) GRP.
The two were arrested under Section 317 of the Indian Penal Code.
