Newly appointed KDMC Commissioner Abhinav Goel prioritizes citizen-friendly governance, leveraging technology for fast and transparent public service delivery
KALYAN: The newly appointed Commissioner of the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), Abhinav Goel, said he will focus on citizen-friendly governance. After taking charge, he shared that during his tenure as a district collector, he prioritised education and health. He plans to continue the same approach in Kalyan Dombivli by improving services, leveraging technology, and ensuring fast and transparent public service delivery.“I have experience working as a district collector in Dhule and Hingoli districts and as a CEO in Latur Zilla Parishad. Kalyan Dombivli is the most urbanised city among these three places. We will first try to identify the problems, issues, and projects that are underway,” Commissioner Abhinav Goel said. He added that efforts will be made for citizen-centric administration, whether it be the complaints of the citizens or the services they receive. “We want to develop some systems to provide them with services with more speed and transparency.” He also said that since the level of technology has increased today, he will also try to use AI while giving services to the public. Goel also said, “My main objective is to ensure that the citizens of Kalyan Dombivli get all the facilities on time.
Along with this, I will try to complete the projects that are underway in the city on time and also plan further to make the city vibrant and liveable.” Regarding the High Court order for the demolition of 65 buildings in Dombivli, Goel said that he will check their legal status and decide the future strategy accordingly. Digital education will be focused on providing quality education in KDMC schools. Along with this, “finding the gap in the KDMC hospital and eliminating that gap and providing good health facilities to the people of the city will be our priority,” Goel said.
