3 youths arrested for stabbing 23-year-old

THANE: Three youths, who had stabbed to death a 23-year-old boy and severely injured his friend in a late night attack in

Sawarkar Nagar

last week, were tracked down to Uttar Pradesh and brought back to the city.

The accused have been identified as Shivam

Tiwari

, Rahul Yadav and Ashish Nishad. The trio were on the run for over a week and had fled to Allahabad after the murder of Tarsame Singh aka Bobby.

The police had formed teams to trace the trio. Through their call records the cops finally traced their movements to Allahabad.

Senior inspector ( crime branch unit V) Jayraj Ranaware said the trio have confessed to the crime. The motive behind the attack was that Tiwari was upset with Bobby for badmouthing about him to a girl in the locality.
