THANE: Three Bangladeshis, including two women, were arrested by Kasarwadavali police for staying illegally in Patlipada, Ghodbunder Road.

On Friday evening, MNS city chief Avinash Jadhav went to King-Kong Nagar following information that some Bangladeshis were living there illegally. They traced three persons and handed them over to police for verification and investigations.

Lalbanu, Mola (30), Parvin Nur Islam Shaikh (40) and Parvesh Nur Islam Shaikh (19) had fake Aadhaar and PAN cards, which were seized, police said. They used to do odd jobs for a living, a police officer said.

Police said investigations were on to find out if some accomplices were also living in India or if they were involved in anti-national activities. A case was registered against them at Kasarwadavali police station.

The accused were remanded to police custody till Monday.
