12 cars vandalized in Thane

THANE: As many as 12 cars parked along the road at Siddharth Nagar in Kopri, Thane (E), were found vandalized early on Tuesday.
“It was a deliberate act to spread terror among the residents here. The glass shields of all the vehicles were broken using either a sword or an iron rod. The police should find the culprits,’’ said Bhushan Chandgaonkar, whose car was among those targeted by the miscreants.
Former Shiv Sena corporator Pandurang Patil said the attack took place between 3.30am and 4am. Locals suspect that rivalry between two groups of thugs from Siddharth Nagar and Shanti Nagar led to the attack.
