Two teachers found dead in woman’s house
Surat: Two teachers, a 60-year-old male and a 45-year-old female, were found dead in the latter's house in Rankuva village of Navsari district's Chikhli taluka on Monday.The deceased, Chhotubhai and Lataben, worked in Vandervela village primary school for the last few years. Chikhli police conducted the panel postmortem of both bodies to ascertain the exact cause of death.While Chhotubhai was a resident of Pratapnagar of Vansda taluka, Lataben lived in Shiv Darshan Society in Rankuva village. Chhotubhai regularly visited her house as they were friends, police said.While Chhotubhai was married and lived with his wife and two children in Vansda, Lataben was a widow.According to police, he came to meet Lata on Sunday night and stayed back. When a neighbour knocked on the door in the morning, there was no response for a long time. The police were called, and they broke the grill of the house.Upon entering, they found Chhotubhai's body hanging from the ceiling while the woman was lying lifeless on the floor."We will be able to ascertain the reason for the deaths once we get the postmortem report," the officer said.
