Surat ODF status upgraded

SURAT: The Ministry of

Housing

and Urban Affairs (MoHU) have upgraded Surat’s Open Deification Free (ODF) City status from ODF+ and awarded it ODF++ on January 24. This would make Surat a seven star city.

A third party agency, Quality Council Of India (QCI) appointed by the government of India visited Surat from January 16 to 18 and inspected different sites. After inspection they upgraded city’s ODF status to ODF++.
