SURAT: The death toll due to coronavirus in Surat rose to ten after two positive patients undergoing treatment at the New Civil Hospital (NCH) succumbed to the deadly
infection
on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as
Niyaz Ahmed Saiyed
, 70, a resident of Ramnagar society in Limbayat and Dayakor Hiralal, 80, a resident of Hathi Faliya in Begumpura.
Health officials stated that both the positive patients have had co-morbid conditions and they were suffering from diabetes and myocarditis ailments.
Health officials said that the last rites of both the deceased were performed as per the government protocol with the help of the volunteers of Ekta Trust NGO.
