Surat airport to host AAI kho-kho tournament

Surat: The Surat airport authorities has organized regional ‘kho-kho’ tournament of the western region of Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Thursday.

Official said that this is first time that such a tournament has been organized at the airport to promote the domestic games. Players from the western region of AAI including Mumbai, Jalgaon, Gondia, Kandla, Keshod, Jabalpur, Ahmedabad and Vadodara will be participating in the tournament.

Around six teams, including two teams of women players, will play.

Airport director Aman Saini said, “This is first time that Surat airport has been selected by the sports division of AAI for hosting the kho-kho tournament. We have invited golden girl Sarita Gaekwad from Dang as the chief guest.”

Saini added, “All the players are employees of the AAI and serving at various stations in the western region. We have kept the tournament open for the visitors to watch.” ”
