On being alerted, the police swung into action and removed the posters and also started an inquiry to find out who stuck the poster on the road. Meanwhile, photos of the posters applied on the road had already gone viral on social media in the city.

Sharma is facing legal actions for her comments against

, while she has complained of receiving threats.

“It is yet not clear who applied the posters on the road. But it could be an attempt by some elements trying to create disturbance,” said a police official.
