BHARUCH: Taking inspiration from film and TV serial makers who flock to Rajpipla, known as the Hollywood of Gujarat, a theatre owner from this picturesque town has started his own film production house and is working on a comedy film in Gujarati.
Rajendrasinh Gohil (40), known as Rajabhai in Rajpipla, is shooting a Gujarati comedy film "Dhmachakdi." Raja has almost completed 60 per cent of the film's shooting with four well-known actresses, three actors and others from the Gujarati film industry.

Keshav Rathod, a well-known screenplay writer, is the film's director.
Dhmachakdi will be the first film to be produced by a Rajpipla resident. Raja told TOI, "Since a decade I have been watching film producers tasting success after having shot their films in my city. They have been able to make good films because of the support from locals. Therefore, I thought when these outsiders can make hit films from Rajpipla, why can't the local people. This will also create a source of employment for the locals."
Raja claims that not many comedy films have been made in Gujarati. He says Dhmachakdi has been conceptualized differently and viewers will enjoy the non-stop comedy film. Actress Ruchika Rathod says, "We are enjoying working with Raja. Though this is his first film, but he is fully involved and the shooting is progressing as per the schedule."
Dhmachakdi will be shot in and around Rajpipla, including at Vadia Palace, Rajvant Palace and Town Hall, Raja said.
