SURAT: Nine chartered accountancy (CA) students from the city have secured ranks among the top 50 in India.
The results of CA final exams that were conducted in May were announced on Friday.
Shristy Saraf stood seventh nationally with 558 marks. Among others, Vidhi Shah got 10th rank with 551 marks, Kartik Sand 32nd rank with 516 marks, Vaibhav Chandak 33rd rank with 515 marks, Subhankar Joshi 34th rank with 514 marks, Pulkit Jajodia 37th rank with 511, Ankit Kedia 42nd rank with 506 marks, Prashant Rawat 48th rank with 499 marks and Nikunj Rathi stood 49th with 498 marks.

"I started preparing soon after IPCC result and that helped me to get good marks in final exam as I was stress free when appeared in final exam," said Shristy, a student of DRB College. Shristy's father is a textile trader and the family is from Rajasthan.
In all, 42,533 students appeared in both groups of CA final exam in India out of which 3,100 cleared the exams. From Surat, 878 had appeared of which 103 passed in both groups this year. With 11.73 per cent result, Surat's passing percentage is higher compared to national passing percentage of 7.29 per cent in both groups.
In group 1, total 65,729 students appeared of which 8,884 cleared nationally while from Surat, 267 appeared and 55 managed to clear.
In group 2, 65,706 took the exam of which 7,004 cleared while from Surat 250 appeared and 23 managed to clear.
