Man held for sexually assaulting 3-year-old
Surat: Saroli police booked a 21-year-old man for rape after he sexually assaulted a 3-year-old girl. Mojabbir Shaikh, who is from Bihar, works at a textile unit in the Saroli area. On Thursday afternoon, when the victim's mother went out for some work for a while, Shaikh abducted her and took her to a bathroom on the terrace. He started sexually assaulting the victim. Before he could perpetrate a worse crime, the victim's mother reached the terrace looking for her. Locals soon gathered and beat up Shaikh. Saroli police were called and an FIR was filed against Shaikh for rape under BNS and offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
